Counseling
At Auburn Middle School, our Counseling Department is dedicated to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and career development of every student.
Our school counselors work closely with students, families, and staff to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Through individual counseling, small group sessions, classroom lessons, and schoolwide initiatives, we help students build the skills they need to succeed—both in middle school and in life. Whether your child needs support navigating friendships, managing school stress, or planning for the future, we’re here to help.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re proud to partner with families in supporting each student’s unique journey.

NRVCS Services
MCPS is proud to partner with NRVCS (New River Valley Community Services) to provide essential mental health and support services directly within our school. By embedding these services on campus, we remove common barriers such as stigma and transportation, allowing for earlier intervention and more consistent care. This collaboration helps improve both academic performance and behavioral outcomes for students in need, creating a healthier and more supportive learning environment. By embedding services in schools, NRVCS removes access barriers (like stigma or transportation), provides early intervention, and enhances academic and behavioral outcomes for youth in need.
